At the core, I’m a poet who believes that sharing stories is fundamental for connecting with each other. For me, stories are the portal to deep connection. My approach to developing stories is strengthened by a decade of experience as an outdoor educator, where I centered warmth and curiosity in each lesson. I’m here to guide you as we identify and develop your most compelling stories yet.

I love teaching creative writing.

Teaching has been a huge part of my life, both as a “forever student” and as a writing instructor. I believe that everyone should have access to the tools to tell a good story. My writing background includes a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies, a master’s degree in creative writing, a post-graduate Fulbright Fellowship, and a Pushcart Prize nomination. I’ve taught at nonprofits in the San Francisco Bay Area, at universities and high schools in Romania, and for private events throughout the United States.

I’m also a writer who “gets it.”

I’ve experienced the highs and the lows that come with a creatively driven life. Writer’s block, motivation, stress, too much feedback, deadline pressure—I get it. As your guide, I’ll walk alongside you as we find the right mix of rest, motivation, and accountability.
