I believe that writing and sharing stories is fundamental for connecting with ourselves, each other, and the planet.

My approach is strengthened by a decade of experience as an educator, where I learned to center warmth in each lesson. I believe that the editor-author relationship can be mutually inspiring–not scary and hierarchical. Every editing package contains poetic sparks to bring your creative dreams to light.

I’m a poet who prioritizes clear, compassionate communication. I hold a master’s degree in English: Creative Writing. Honors include a Fulbright Fellowship, a Pushcart Prize nomination, and a Best of the Net nomination.

As a writer, I understand the need for inspiration, guidance, and accountability with each project. Sunlight Editing helps writers of all experience levels feel confident that their story matters and that it’s a story worth telling.
